Endeavour Download Area
On this page you will find the Endeavour demonstration version, the ACD ChemSketch freeware version, and a quickstart manual in Spanish language.
Registration
If you are interested in the free-of-charge demo version, we would appreciate very much if you register for our mailing list. Although this is not mandatory for downloading the software from below, we would like to be able to inform you by e-mail when updated versions have become available.
Download
The Endeavour demonstration version runs in full-featured mode, i.e. without any restrictions, for 60 days, comparable to Match! but unlike Diamond demo version. After this period, the structure solution facility of the Endeavour trial version is restricted to the elements present in the tutorial's compounds (currently H, Li, B, C, N, O, Na, P, S, Cl, Ni, Cu, Mo, Ru, In, Ba, La, Au, Pb) and to carbon containing molecules with composition C14, C15NO2S, and C15H23NO2S. Besides this, there is a limitation in the 'Save' function: Saving files in Endeavour's proprietary format is disabled, whereas export into other formats ('Save as..') works.Endeavour is distributed as compressed self-extracting file for most MS Windows 32-bit operating systems (XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10) and can be downloaded via the link below. It is provided with a detailed tutorial and sample files. Please see the README.TXT document to learn how to install Endeavour and what has been changed in the latest update.

Endeavour Kernel Download
Please note:
- The following downloads are only required if you would like to run Endeavour calculations without the normal Windows user interface, e.g. on macOS or Linux 64-bit machines.
- The macOS version is a so-called "Universal Binary", i.e. it runs natively both on Intel as well as the new ARM M1 machines.
- You will need your Endeavour license file also for the kernel calculations. Without your license file, the kernel can only be used to run the calculations from the tutorial.
- Documentation: The download packages below also contain the tutorial handbook. Please refer to the chapter "Endeavour Kernel Scripts" in the "Appendix". Follow the steps described there to create the script and other input files required for running Endeavour kernel calculations.
Endeavour is generally employed like many other conventional Windows programs, the user interacting with the program by mouse, keyboard and a graphical user interface. However, Endeavour is not a monolithic block containing everything in one big program. Instead, it consists of a Windows based graphical user interface and a separate executable called "the kernel" that actually performs the calculations. The latter can be be downloaded separately from below.
Installation instructions: First of all, download the compressed file, by clicking on the corresponding file name (link) in the table below. When the download has finished, please unzip the contents of the zip-file(s) to the directory where you would like to store the kernel and also maybe run your calculations.
Once you have extracted the contents of the zip-file(s), please copy your Endeavour license file (called "yourlicense.lic") into the directory where you have installed/unpacked the program "Enkernel". Normally, you should have obtained this license file as a compressed archive called "license_Endeavour.zip" attached to your Endeavour delivery e-mail.
Finally, please verify that your Endeavour kernel directory contains following files:
- Enkernel (the actual Endeavour kernel program)
- yourlicense.lic (your license file)
- tutorial.pdf (the Endeavour tutorial handbook)
- Readme.txt

Quickstart and tutorial
Both full and demonstration version contain a quickstart manual as well as a comprehensive tutorial in PDF format in English language.
Thanks to the efforts of Prof. Santiago Rodríguez Almenar of the Escuela Superior de Cerámica de Manises (Manises Valencia/Spain), the quickstart document is also available in Spanish language free-of-charge for download:

ACD ChemSketch
For the generation of three-dimensional molecule structures we recommend the ACD ChemSketch software. A freeware version of ChemSketch is included in the ENDEAVOUR package, however it is not included in the ENDEAVOUR demonstration version to keep the package as small as possible. You can obtain ACD ChemSketch freeware from www.acdlabs.com/download/chemsk.html.
